Madison, Wis., August 13, 2019 – Last week, Re3DTech solidified its commitment to HP’s 3D print technology by adding the new HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 5210 to its growing portfolio of HP 3D Printers. The Illinois based service provider has been a proponent of HP’s 3D print technology since its introduction three years ago. The 5210 installation compliments the multiple HP MJF 4210 and HP MJF 580 printing solutions already in place at Re3DTech. Re3DTech has seen increased market demand in the mid to low volume production space since the inception of their business, which is built on HP’s MJF technology. The 5210 system builds off the core 4210 technology and adds software and print technology that brings traditional manufacturing practices and standards to additive manufacturing. These enhancements ensure repeatable and predictable results.

What is 3D Printing?

3D printing is a process that builds a three-dimensional object based on a Computer Aided Design (CAD) sketch. A 3D printer uses the CAD data to add successive layers of liquid, powder, or other material to manufacture a 3D object. A wide range of materials can be used for 3D printing including metals, plastics, and composites.

People ask all the time, “What do you do for a living?” My response is, “I’m a partner at Re3dTech, a 3D printing service provider.” I often get a puzzled look and then, “That sounds cool but what do you do? Do you sell 3D printers? How does 3D printing work and are the parts functional?”

Summer Internship at a 3D Printing Service Provider

I am an incoming freshmen to the University of Dayton in their Engineering programming the fall of 2019. The last few years, I have had a growing interest in the world of 3D printing. This summer, I took it to the next level and had an internship at Re3dtech, a 3D printing service provider. We printed some of the most amazing parts, from a full-sized baseball helmet to thousands of intricate end use parts.

The company’s 3D Printing and Digital Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Barcelona, Spain, will help advance Multi Jet Fusion and Metal Jet technology, in the interest of a digital manufacturing future.
